Assignments for the 3rd Week of the 4th Quarter

Tuesday:
  • Group A (Day 6): Finalize the final layout on the computer. Print a copy to hand-in to the teacher at the end of the period, and put an electronic version into the Jabberwock folder on the hard-drive.
  • Group B (Day 3): Work on article.

Thursday:
  • Group A (Day 1): Turn in article proposal and accompanying clipped article (of the same type) to the teacher at beginning of period.
  • Group B (Day 4): Show rough draft of article to the teacher. Work on the article with a peer and go over the appropriate checklist.

Friday:
  • Group A (Day 2): Work on article by scheduling interviews, taking pictures, and performing research.
  • Group B (Day 5): Turn in the final draft to the teacher at the beginning of the period. Make corrections and begin the final layout when the article is returned to you.

Assignments for the 2nd Week of the 4th Quarter

Tuesday:
  • Group A (Day 3): Work on article.
  • Group B: Read the newspaper.

Thursday:
  • Group A (Day 4): Show rough draft of article to the teacher. Work on the article with a peer and go over the appropriate checklist.
  • Group B (Day 1): Turn in article proposal and accompanying clipped article (of the same type) to the teacher at beginning of period.

Friday:
  • Group A (Day 5): Turn in the final draft to the teacher at the beginning of the period. Make corrections and begin the final layout when the article is returned to you.

Assignments for the 9th Week of the 3rd Quarter

Tuesday: Preview weekly calendar. Spend time in class reading and discussing The Richmond Times-Dispatch. Work on your Feature article. For homework,
  1. Finish your Feature article (due at the beginning of class on Thursday 2 April).
Thursday: Hand in your Feature article (in Publisher with photos) at the beginning of class. Make improvements/edits to the article during the class period. Turn in your final version at the end of class.
  1. Relax.
Friday: Read and discuss The Richmond Times-Dispatch. Have a great Spring Break!
