Assignments for the 9th Week of the 3rd Quarter

Tuesday 3/29: Group B: Finalize the final layout on the computer, print a copy to hand-in to Mr. Waller at the end of the period, and put an electronic version into the Jabberwock folder on the hard-drive. Group A (Day 3): Show your article notes to Mr. Waller and continue working on your article. For homework,
  1. Group B: Prepare an article proposal for the next class, including a clipped article of the type that you are assigned.
  2. Group A: Complete a rough draft of your article.
Thursday 3/31: Group B: (Day 1): Turn in article proposal and accompanying clipped article of the same type to the teacher at beginning of period. Group A (Day 4): Show the rough draft of your article to Mr. Waller and work on the article with a peer and go over the appropriate checklist. For homework,
  1. Group B: Continue working on your article assignment.
  2. Group A: Prepare a final draft to turn in to Mr. Waller. (The final draft must be double-spaced and have the appropriate headers.)
Friday 4/1: Group B (Day 2): Work on article by scheduling interviews, taking pictures, and performing research. Group A (Day 5): Turn in the final draft to the teacher at the beginning of the period, then make corrections and begin the final layout when the article is returned to you. For homework,

  2. Group A: Continue working on the final layout in Publisher, including photos, pulled quotes, and headlines.
